UK Graduate visa shortens to 18 months for applications from 1 January 2027
GOV.UK states the Graduate visa lasts 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026, and 18 months if you apply on or after 1 January 2027. PhD graduates can stay 3 years.

Canada raises the study permit proof-of-funds amount from 1 September 2026
For study permit applications on or after 1 September 2026, a single student studying outside Quebec must show C$23,448 per year for living expenses, up from C$22,895.

Since January 2026, TOEFL iBT section and overall scores are reported on a 1–6 scale. For a two-year transition period, score reports also include a comparable 0–120 overall score.
