For study permit applications on or after 1 September 2026, a single student studying outside Quebec must show C$23,448 per year for living expenses, up from C$22,895.
What it means
This amount covers living expenses only. You must also show you can pay tuition and travel costs.
The amount increases with each family member who comes with you.
Quebec has its own financial requirements.
